Operation Christmas Child, Nov.23
Make it a Season of Blessing and Mercy!
As the Christmas Season approaches many of us are starting to think about
what gifts we need to get for our loved ones, and also, quite honestly,
what gifts we might be getting ourselves. This Christmas, however, we
would like Renewal to consider how this Season of Gift Giving can also
be a Season of Blessing and Mercy. Let’s celebrate the true meaning of
Christmas by considering how we might serve those who are suffering and
in need.

As a church, Renewal will be participating in Operation Christmas
Child, which will continue to be a yearly event. This is a tangible
way for our church to serve children who suffer around the world.
Please note a few things:
The lid and box must be wrapped separately so that they can be
opened easily.
Please write a Personal Note for each box. This makes each gift
much more meaningful.
Drop off Boxes by Sunday, November 23rd at the OFFICE
in the Main Lobby. (We cannot take boxes after that date. We apologize
for the short notice. The deadline was sooner than expected.)
Download the Operation
Christmas Instructions and print out the Shoe Box Labels.

Specific instructions for Small Group Leaders:
Designate people who will bring:
- Large Rubber Bands to bind the boxes
- Decorating supplies such as wrapping paper and markers
- Stationary for the personal notes
- Printed Gift Box Labels (on the other side) for each box.
Have each member decide beforehand the Gender and Age of the child
they would like to give a gift to.
Designate a night for decorating and preparing each box. Make it
a fun time!
Have someone in charge of bringing all the boxes to the Office at
church.
Specific suggestions for Families:
We really hope that this will be a great opportunity for parents to teach
their children about serving others who are in need.
Buy the supplies together and let your kids be involved picking
everything.
Decorate the box(es) together. Pray together for the children who
will be receiving the boxes.
Instead of dropping off the boxes to the Office, please bring it
to the CHILDREN’S CHAPEL on that Sunday.
