Renewal Missions
Vision Statement
Missions Board exists to build God’s Kingdom throughout the Nations as a Church through both the
ministry of Words and Deeds by Raising, Sending & Partnering with our own members.

THEOLOGICAL BASIS
Key Points:
- Matthew 9:35-38. Missions is on the Heart of God. Christ is the one who longs to reach these people.
Missions comes forth from God and his heart. It’s because HIS heart breaks for it that it breaks our heart.
It’s because HE longs to save souls that we go and save souls.
- We also see that there is a great Need for the Gospel but the Workers are few. Christ is the only way to
salvation and thus without him people will perish. The harvest is plentiful but there are not enough workers.
- We also see that Christ’s ministry was both word and deed. He preached the good news but he also met the
physical needs of those who were hurting and sick. We believe that God has called us to minister the Gospel
through both the ministry of Preaching and Evangelism but also through the ministry of Mercy and Service.
God’s redemptive purpose is not to simply save the lives of individuals but to bring his Kingdom. He is
continually redeeming the brokenness seen throughout Creation because of the Fall.
- Romans 10:14-15. We also believe strongly that God has called the Body as a whole to participate in this work.
It is not merely the responsibility of a few but it is the responsibility of the whole body. Thus those who are
not called to go have been called to Partner with those whom we send. Both are integrally connected in order for
the body to function properly.
- Romans 14:11. One day every knee will bow before the Lord. One day every tongue will confess that Jesus
is Lord. This is the motivation for missions. We are motivated by the glory of God. We desire that his name
be spread throughout the world.
GOALS
- Raising – We want everyone at our church to have continual exposure to missions through participating in
educational venues like our Missions Conference or through a Short-Term missions trip. We hope to provide
opportunities where particular occupations can be uniquely used overseas to expand God’s kingdom.
- Sending – We want to actively help all those who have been called to go overseas to eventually fulfill
this calling through the accountability, exposure, encouragement and training provided by our Church.
Therefore we want all of our future long-term supported missionaries (except those whom we currently support)
to have been active members of our church.
- Partnership – We want all of our supported missionaries and also our supported organizations to be effective
in their ministry not just through our financial support but also by coming along side them in their personal
life and ministry. For our long-term supported missionaries this will be accomplished through Support Groups.
Every missionary we send out must be able to form a Support Group which will be integrally involved in
their ministry.
For more information or to see how you can get involved please contact Joe Hyun or P Young Lee.
