Renewal Biblical Counseling

"...speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ." Ephesians 4:15

In all things! It is not "in some things." Nor is it "when I'm happy and not feeling depressed." It does not say "only when I have not been sexually or physically abused," or "when pornography does not consume my life," or "when I or a family member does not have a mental illness." It does not read, "when I do not have problems with anger, binging, purging, drugs, alcohol, anxiety, pride, homosexuality, insomnia, relationships..." - in all things!

It is because of the word "all" that the church has been called to bring the truth and power of God's word to every situation, to every experience, and to every struggle. As a church we admit that this has not always been done in love. Or sometimes it has not been done at all. And as a result, people suffer in silence, or worse yet they are not afforded the opportunity to "grow up into him."

That is why the Renewal Biblical Counseling Ministry exists. Though this is the call of every believer, we recognize that unless some first become intentional, none will heed this call in a culture of silence. We do not offer professional advice, but our counsel is undoubtedly influenced by our varied backgrounds. We are committed to "bearing one another's burdens," to understanding and appreciating each person's unique experiences, and to seeing the gospel applied in our lives. We believe that through God's word, lives can be renewed in Christ, in ALL things.

In addition to their varied professional backgrounds (many in counseling related fields), they each receive training informed by the Changing Lives curriculum. Through this they have learned a Biblical understanding of people and receive ongoing training to further sharpen their knowledge and skills in helping people deal with life issues.

At this time, counseling services can be offered only to those who attend Renewal Church.
