  • Congregational Summer Picnic: Sunday, June 14
    We will be having our annual summer picnic on Sunday, June 14, 12:30–4:00pm at FDR Park in South Philly. Join us for an afternoon of fellowship over food and sports!

  • Renewal Summer Intramural Softball League
    Join the intramural co-ed softball league from June 21 thru August 9. Games will be played on Sunday afternoons (1-hour games scheduled between 2:00-4:30pm) at Belmont Plateau in Fairmount Park. Sign up to play on your parish team.

  • Summer Worship Schedule: May-August
    We have moved to one Sunday worship service at 10:30 am. Children's Sunday School and Nursery is also at 10:30 am.

  • Children’s Ministry Drop-Off and Pick-Up
    Children can be dropped off before the start of the 10:30am service. The nursery room (for ages 2 and under) is in the 1st floor lobby. Kids ages 3 and up can be dropped off upstairs on the 2nd floor. Parents are kindly asked to pick up their children immediately after the service.

  • Summer Worship Service Childcare Volunteers
    We will need a rotation of volunteers for our Sunday School and Nursery during service throughout the summer. If you're willing to help out on a Sunday from May through August, contact Nate Pugh ( You will need to forego attending service on the day you volunteer.

  • Getting Diaconate Care
    Speak with a Renewal deacon or deaconess if you would like to speak to someone about receiving care. Email, or speak with a pastor, elder, deacon, or deaconess after Sunday service.

  • PRN: Christian Counseling & Psychiatric Services
    Looking for extra support and counsel for life's challenges? The Philadelphia Renewal Network (PRN) offers affordable, accessible, professional, gospel-centered counseling and psychiatric services. Visit the PRN website ( for more information. Get Connected:

  • Renewal Mom's Group
    Our Mom's group meets every second Thursday (playgroup) and last Saturday (devotional) from 10:30am to 12:00pm. Childcare is provided. We are also looking for childcare workers, which is a paid opportunity to serve. Contact Megan Lui ( if interested in helping or to be added to our email list.

  • Renewal Parent Community
    If you are a veteran parent, a new parent, or an expecting parent, we invite you to join the newly formed Renewal Parent Community Google Group. This online forum is used to distribute information related to community group childcare, children's gear exchange, the Renewal Moms Group, and other means of caring for our Renewal families. Mercy Ministries:

There are some great opportunities every month to go and serve our city. Check out all of the various serving opportunities and consider volunteering.

  • Nepal Earthquake Disaster Relief
    On April 25, Nepal was devastated by a 7.8-magnitude earthquake and numerous powerful aftershocks. Half a million people have been displaced and the death toll could reach 10,000. We invite you to pray for those in the region who have experienced grief and loss and that food and water (as well as the gospel) would reach those who desperately need it. Here are a few recommended organizations to consider donating to:

  • ACTS Ministry (Homeless Dinner): Sun. May 10, 1:30-3:30pm
    We need 10-12 volunteers this month to help host the homeless, serve food, and do kitchen work at Tenth Presbyterian Church (17th & Spruce). The contact person is Sarah Kim Lee (

  • West Philly Foods Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
    Renewal is a host site again this year for the West Philly Foods CSA program. It's been a great way to open our church to the neighborhood. We need a rotation of volunteers to staff the pick-up sessions each Thursday evening from May to October. (Volunteers get a free box of produce each time!)   • Independent Short-Term Missions
    If you are going on a short-term mission trip this summer outside of Renewal and would like to apply for a bit of financial support, contact P. Dan Whang ( for an application.

  • Renewal Missions Community
    We desire our Missions Community gatherings to help one another process and obey God's call on our lives for missions, for those who are seriously considering long-term missions. If you are looking to attend the gatherings, sign up to receive emails.

  • Online Giving
    Set up your weekly automatic tithing online through E-Giving.

  • Weather Alerts
    Take a moment and subscribe to our emergency alert system. Once subscribed, Renewal can text your cell phone in case of extreme weather, disaster or other emergency. This alert system will be used (along with email, Web updates, and Facebook) for any snow or weather related cancellations. Subscribe at

  • Weddings Through Renewal
    For engaged couples looking to have a Renewal pastor officiate their wedding, there is a formal process that we ask you to go through starting at least four months before your wedding date. This includes attending an all-day Saturday premarital seminar, which is offered only three times a year on set dates. Visit for all the information, and please plan ahead!

  • Renewal Bulletin Board: Social Events, Community Announcements, Etc.
    There is now an active bulletin board posted at the main entrance to the sanctuary. On the calendar, you will be able to view Renewal events for the month and post any Renewal social events you'd like to share. In addition, there are areas to post community announcements, things you need, and things you have to sell or give away.
