  • Communion: September 25
    We invite all baptized members in good standing in any evangelical church to partake in communion in next Sunday's services. Please prepare to come to the Lord's Table in a worthy manner (1 Cor. 11:27-29).

  • Renewal College Fellowship Fall Retreat: September 30 – October 1
    All undergrad students are encouraged to attend the RCF fall retreat on September 30 to October 1 (Friday night through Saturday night) in Ocean Grove, NJ. Join us as we seek the Lord together and bond with fellow students in our community groups and campuses. The speaker is Rev. Mike Park, assistant pastor of Grace DC Downtown.   • Renewal Young Adult Fall Retreat: October 7-8
    All post-college adults are encouraged to attend the fall retreat on October 7 to 8 (Friday night through Saturday night) in Ocean City, NJ. If you are in a community group, register with your community group leaders. If you are not yet in a community group, you can register online.

  • Infant Baptisms
    If you are looking to have your infant baptized during our fall baptism service on Sunday, November 13, please contact the Renewal office ( by Sunday, October 9.

  • Gospel Foundations Class (Baptism and Membership class)
    This class is designed to provide a theological foundation for the Christian life, as well as introduce you to Renewal: our central beliefs, our vision and core values, and what church membership entails. The 3-session class is required for membership at Renewal, as well as for those seeking to get baptized. Register online by Sunday, October 9. The class dates are:

    • Session 1: Sunday, October 16 (11:15am–1:30pm)
    • Session 2: Saturday, October 22 (10:00am–2:00pm)
    • Session 3: Sunday, October 23 (11:15am–1:30pm)

Children's Ministry:

  • Child Drop-Off Locations
    Children 5 and under can be dropped off before the start of the 9:30am service. The nursery room for babies 18 months and under is in the 1st floor lobby. The nursery for ages above 18 months up to 2.5 years is now downstairs in the basement. 2.5's-5's can also be dropped off in the basement.

  • Kindergarten and Up to Attend Service
    Children kindergarten and up are asked to join their parents for the beginning of the worship service. They will be dismissed to Children's Church with their teachers during the announcements. Children middle school and up are asked to participate in the entire service.

  • Child Pick-Up Locations
    Parents are asked to pick up their children immediately after the service, from the nursery room (babies 18 months and under) or the basement (all children above 18 months).

Service Opportunities:

  • Renewal Red Cross Community Blood Drive: Sunday, Sep. 25, 8am-1pm
    Make sure you are eligible to donate before signing up, as the units are pre-pledged to local hospitals. Give blood, save 3 lives! There will be door prizes and T-shirts for donors.

  • ACTS Ministry (Tenth's Homeless Dinner): Sunday, Oct. 9, 1:30-3:30pm
    We need 12-14 volunteers to help host the homeless, serve food, and do kitchen work at Tenth Church (17th & Spruce). The contact person is Sarah Kim Lee (

  • Bethesda Project: My Brother's House: Saturday, Oct. 29, 11am-1pm
    We'll be cooking and serving lunch at My Brother's House shelter and hanging out with the residents. You can also contribute by chipping in for food costs or preparing some of the food even if you can't come help serve the meal. Please e-mail Sung Park ( if interested in helping.

  • Community Groups
    Community groups are the primary means through which we gather to live out the gospel and mature together in its truth (gospel community) and to spread the gospel incarnationally through word and deed (gospel mission). Connect with a CG near you.

  • Community Groups: Childcare Babysitters
    To help Renewal families attend community group regularly, volunteers are needed to help babysit their children on Thursday and Friday evenings. If you are interested in babysitting, please ask your CG leader for more information or email

  • Diaconate Care
    Speak with a Renewal deacon or deaconess if you would like to speak to someone about receiving care. Email, or speak with a pastor, elder, deacon, or deaconess after Sunday service.

  • Mom's Group
    We meet every second Thursday (playgroup) and last Saturday (devotional) from 10:30am to 12:00pm. Childcare is provided. We are also looking for childcare workers, which is a paid opportunity to serve. Contact Megan Lui ( if interested in helping or to be added to our email list.

  • Online Giving
    Set up your weekly automatic tithing online through E-Giving.

  • Parent Community
    If you are a veteran parent, a new parent, or an expecting parent, we invite you to join our Parent Community Google Group. This online forum is used to distribute information related to community group childcare, children's gear exchange, the Renewal Moms Group, and other means of caring for our Renewal families.
