  • Renewal Fantasy Football Draft: September 6
    Connect with fellow football fans in our church by participating in a Renewal fantasy football league. Interactive in-person drafts will be held at church on Sunday, September 6 from 2-5 pm. Register HERE by August 30.

  • Parish Labor Day Weekend Picnics
    Join us for one of our parish Labor Day weekend picnics! Newcomers to Renewal are encouraged to come out and meet some Renewal folks in your area.

  • Renewal Women's Intramural Flag Football League
    All ladies are welcome to sign up for a new season of intramural flag football! Come on out and get to know other sisters in the church. No experience necessary! The season will be on Sundays from September 13 – November 1, 3-6pm at Edgely Field in Fairmount Park (Reservoir Dr & N. Randolph Dr). We are also looking for more coaches and refs to sign up. Register through the church website by September 12.

  • Papal Visit Weekend Service Schedule Change: September 27
    On Sunday, September 27, we will have only one worship service at 10:30am due to the travel restrictions in the city that weekend. If you are not able to attend Renewal that day, we encourage you to visit and worship at a local church nearby your home.

Children's Ministry:

  • Child Drop-Off Locations
    Children 4 and under can be dropped off before the start of the 9:30am service. The nursery room (for ages 2 and under) is in the 1st floor lobby. 3’s–4’s can be dropped off upstairs on the 2nd floor.

  • Older Kids to Attend Service
    Elementary school children are asked to join their parents for the beginning of the worship service. They will be dismissed to Children’s Church with their teachers during the announcements. Children middle school and up are asked to participate in the entire service.

  • Child Pick-Up Locations
    Parents are asked to pick up their children immediately after the service, from the nursery room (ages 2 and under) or the 2nd floor (ages 3 and up).

  • Children's Ministry Nursery Volunteers
    We are in need of more volunteers for our nursery (ages 2 and under) during the 9:30am service. If you're interested in helping care for our infants, please contact Carol Wang (

  • Getting Diaconate Care
    Speak with a Renewal deacon or deaconess if you would like to speak to someone about receiving care. Email, or speak with a pastor, elder, deacon, or deaconess after Sunday service.

Get Connected:

  • Community Groups
    Community groups are the primary means through which Renewal gathers to live out the gospel and mature together in its truth (gospel community) and to spread the gospel incarnationally through word and deed (gospel mission). Consider joining a CG near you:

  • Renewal Mom's Group
    Our Mom's group meets every second Thursday (playgroup) and last Saturday (devotional) from 10:30am to 12:00pm. Childcare is provided. We are also looking for childcare workers, which is a paid opportunity to serve. Contact Megan Lui ( if interested in helping or to be added to our email list.

  • Renewal Parent Community
    If you are a veteran parent, a new parent, or an expecting parent, we invite you to join the newly formed Renewal Parent Community Google Group. This online forum is used to distribute information related to community group childcare, children's gear exchange, the Renewal Moms Group, and other means of caring for our Renewal families. Mercy Ministries:

There are some great opportunities every month to go and serve our city. Check out all of the various serving opportunities and consider volunteering.

  • ACTS Ministry (Homeless Dinner): Sun. September 13, 1:30-3:30pm
    We need 4-6 volunteers this month to help host the homeless, serve food, and do kitchen work at Tenth Presbyterian Church (17th & Spruce). The contact person is Sarah Kim Lee (

Serving Opportunities

  • Cedar Ave. Block Cleanup: Sat. September 12, 10:00am-12:00pm
    Come out as we help serve our neighbors by helping clean and beautify our church's block! The contact person is Jae Sim (

  • Community Group Childcare Babysitters
    To help Renewal families attend community group regularly, volunteers are needed to help babysit their children on Thursday and Friday evenings. If you are interested in babysitting, please ask your CG leader for more information or email

  • Online Giving
    Set up your weekly automatic tithing online through E-Giving.

  • Weddings Through Renewal
    For engaged couples looking to have a Renewal pastor officiate their wedding, there is a formal process that we ask you to go through starting at least four months before your wedding date. This includes attending an all-day Saturday premarital seminar, which is offered only three times a year on set dates. Visit for all the information, and please plan ahead!

  • Renewal Bulletin Board: Social Events, Community Announcements, Etc.
    There is now an active bulletin board posted at the main entrance to the sanctuary. On the calendar, you will be able to view Renewal events for the month and post any Renewal social events you'd like to share. In addition, there are areas to post community announcements, things you need, and things you have to sell or give away.
