Lead Pastor & Campus Pastor – future Plymouth Meeting campus
Born in St. Louis, Reverend Dr. Paul Kim was raised in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated with a BS in psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Divinity from Biblical Theological Seminary, a Master of Theology from Westminster Theological Seminary and a Doctorate of Ministry from Biblical Theological Seminary. He has served at Renewal since coming to Philadelphia in 1991 and is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).

Aside from serving as Renewal's lead pastor, Pastor Paul enjoys music and jogging. Pastor Paul and Janette married in June, 2000 and are the proud parents of four sons - Elijah, Caleb, Noah and Nathan.

Campus Pastor - West Philadelphia campus
Reverend Dwight Yoo was raised in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. He graduated with a BA in psychology from Rutgers University and a Master of Divinity from Westminster Theological Seminary. With the exception of his college years, Pastor Dwight has attended and served at Renewal all his life. Pastor Dwight is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).

Aside from serving as Renewal's community group and worship pastor, Pastor Dwight enjoys sports, the outdoors, movies, and eating. Pastor Dwight and Paula married in October, 2005 and are proud parents of their son, Aiden. They are committed to urban church planting.

Executive Pastor & Assistant Campus Pastor - West Philadelphia campus
Reverend Charles Han was born and raised in Chicago. He graduated with a BS in finance from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Divinity from Westminster Theological Seminary. Homegrown at Renewal through the college ministry, Charles serves as Executive Pastor and Assistant Campus Pastor at the West Philly Campus. He also serves as the Education Pastor.

Pastor Charles is often seen analyzing some kind of issue, discovering the best our culture has to offer, and eating to live.

Assistant Campus Pastor – future Plymouth Meeting campus
David Skinner is a native of Memphis, TN. He is an assistant pastor focusing primarily on the Plymouth Meeting campus. He did his undergraduate work at Union University in Jackson, TN and received his Masters of Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS. Ordained in 2001, he comes to Renewal as the former Sr. Pastor of First Presbyterian Church of Biloxi, MS. David is married to Julie and they have three children; Elizabeth (13), John David (11), Joshua (9).

David enjoys SEC football, movies with his family and a round of golf every now and then.

College Pastor
Reverend Dan Whang was raised in Livingston, New Jersey. He graduated with a BA in sociology from Rutgers University and a Master of Divinity from Biblical Theological Seminary. After serving as a youth pastor at Broomall Presbyterian Church, he came on staff as Renewal College Fellowship's lead pastor. Pastor Dan is an ordained minister in the Korean-American Presbyterian Church (KAPC).

Aside from serving as Renewal's College Fellowship Pastor, Pastor Dan enjoys Chinese food, Ben Stiller movies, browsing Amazon, and meeting/serving college students.

Administrative Assistant
Arlene grew up in Richmond, VA. She received a BA in history from the University of Virginia. She moved to West Philadelphia in 1998 and has been attending Renewal since. Arlene received her Masters in Education at Temple University and taught kindergarten in Philadelphia for 4 years.

Arlene currently resides in the West Philadelphia area with her husband Isaac, their beautiful daughter Abigail, and their son Nathaniel. Arlene enjoys obsessing with anything UVA, watching good TV, and hanging out with her babies.

PART-TIME STAFF

Children's Ministry Director
Juwon was born in Seoul, Korea and raised in Media, PA. He graduated with a pharmacy degree from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (USP) and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Pharmacy. Juwon has attended and served at Renewal Presbyterian Church since 1994. He has been involved in Renewal Children's Ministry since 1994 and currently serves as the Children's Ministry Director.

Juwon enjoys sports, eating, and finding online deals. Juwon and Betty married in 2005 and are the proud parents of Andrew.

Assistant College Pastor
Pastor Won Ho Kim is from Philadelphia and grew up in Renewal Presbyterian Church. He graduated with a degree in physics from Harvard University, a MA in TESOL from Azusa Pacific, a Master of Divinity from Westminster Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing a MA in linguistics from the University of North Dakota.

After teaching for four years in inner-city Philadelphia, he taught English in China for two years. With a vision for Bible translation, he returned to the States to further his academic and theological training. Now a pastoral intern at Renewal and adjunct faculty at Eastern University and UPenn, Pastor Won Ho is also a member of Wycliffe and plans to return to East Asia to help with Bible translation.

OUTREACH STAFF

Director of Quo Vadis Ministries
Tae Ho Kang was raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated with a BS in biology from the University of Maryland, a Master of Social Policy at the University of Pennsylvania, and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Religion at Westminster Theological Seminary. Tae Ho serves as the community outreach pastor at Renewal and desires to one day minister in inner-cities overseas.
