Lead Pastor
Born in St. Louis, Reverend Dr. Paul Kim was raised in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated with a BS in psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Divinity from Biblical Theological Seminary, a Master of Theology from Westminster Theological Seminary and a Doctorate of Ministry from Biblical Theological Seminary. He has served at Renewal since coming to Philadelphia in 1991 and is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).

Aside from serving as Renewal's lead pastor, Pastor Paul enjoys music and jogging. Pastor Paul and Janette married in June, 2000 and are the proud parents of four sons - Elijah, Caleb, Noah and Nathan.

Executive & Missions Pastor
Reverend Young Lee was raised in Rochester, New York. He graduated with a BA in biology at the University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Divinity from Biblical Theological Seminary and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Ministry also at Biblical. Pastor Young has attended and served at Renewal since 1993. Pastor Young is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) and serves as Renewal's executive and missions pastor.

Pastor Young and Michele married in February, 2004 and are the proud parents of twins, Jacob and Thomas.

Small Group & Worship Pastor
Reverend Dwight Yoo was raised in Mt. Laurel, New Jersey. He graduated with a BA in psychology from Rutgers University and a Master of Divinity from Westminster Theological Seminary. With the exception of his college years, Pastor Dwight has attended and served at Renewal all his life. Pastor Dwight is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).

Aside from serving as Renewal's small group and worship pastor, Pastor Dwight enjoys sports, the outdoors, movies, and eating. Pastor Dwight and Paula married in October, 2005 and are proud parents of their son, Aiden. They are committed to urban church planting.

College Fellowship Pastor
Reverend Dan Whang was raised in Livingston, New Jersey. He graduated with a BA in sociology from Rutgers University and a Master of Divinity from Biblical Theological Seminary. After serving as a youth pastor at Broomall Presbyterian Church, he came on staff as Renewal College Fellowship's lead pastor. Pastor Dan is an ordained minister in the Korean-American Presbyterian Church (KAPC).

Aside from serving as Renewal's College Fellowship Pastor, Pastor Dan enjoys Chinese food, Ben Stiller movies, browsing Amazon, and meeting/serving college students.

Education Pastor
Reverend Charles Han was born and raised in Chicagoland, coinciding with the career of the greatest baller since the foundation of the world and all six championships. He graduated with a BS in finance from the University of Pennsylvania and a Master of Divinity from Westminster Theological Seminary. Homegrown at Renewal through the college ministry, he is now serving as staff for the college fellowship and as Renewal's Education Pastor. Pastor Charles is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA).

Aside from serving as Renewal's Education Pastor, Pastor Charles is often seen analyzing some kind of issue, discovering the best our culture has to offer, and eating to live.

Pastoral Intern
Pastor Won Ho Kim is from Philadelphia and grew up in Renewal Presbyterian Church. He graduated with a degree in physics from Harvard University, a MA in TESOL from Azusa Pacific, a Master of Divinity from Westminster Theological Seminary, and is currently pursuing a MA in linguistics from the University of North Dakota.

After teaching for four years in inner-city Philadelphia, he taught English in China for two years. With a vision for Bible translation, he returned to the States to further his academic and theological training. Now a pastoral intern at Renewal and adjunct faculty at Eastern University and UPenn, Pastor Won Ho is also a member of Wycliffe and plans to return to East Asia to help with Bible translation.

Church Secretary
Arlene grew up in Richmond, VA. She received a BA in history from the University of Virginia. She moved to West Philadelphia in 1998 and has been attending Renewal since. Arlene received her Masters in Education at Temple University and taught kindergarten in Philadelphia for 4 years.

Arlene currently resides in the West Philadelphia area with her husband Isaac, their beautiful daughter Abigail, and their son Nathaniel. Arlene enjoys obsessing with anything UVA, watching good TV, and hanging out with her babies.

Children's Ministry Director
Juwon was born in Seoul, Korea and raised in Media, PA. He graduated with a pharmacy degree from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (USP) and is currently pursuing a Doctorate of Pharmacy. Juwon has attended and served at Renewal Presbyterian Church since 1994. He has been involved in Renewal Children's Ministry since 1994 and currently serves as the Children's Ministry Director.

Juwon enjoys sports, eating, and finding online deals. Juwon and Betty married in 2005 and are the proud parents of Andrew.

Director of Quo Vadis
Tae Ho Kang was raised in Baltimore, Maryland. He graduated with a BS in biology from the University of Maryland, a Master of Social Policy at the University of Pennsylvania, and is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Religion at Westminster Theological Seminary. Tae Ho serves as the community outreach pastor at Renewal and desires to one day minister in inner-cities overseas.
