2008 Women's Flag Football Tournament
Saturday, November 1st, 2008
Eight churches from New York, New Jersey, and Philly, gathered together on a crisp
morning in November to play the game of flag football. The women of Renewal, after
two months of training, came together on this day to represent our church!
Thirty-three
players and five coaches strong, along with the eighth man on the field which consisted
of passionate and loud Renewal fans that drove up to Mercer County Park in New Jersey,
along with sisters that sacrificed their time and energy to prepare a great lunch,
as well as family members and pets, came together as ONE TEAM on this day.
What a beautiful sight to see one team, one family, one church! This year, the team
went all the way to the playoffs and gracefully bowed out after a tough first game, but
came out of it with a sense of pride and joy, knowing that they showed and tried their
hardest, as God's creations.
